I'm Hailey. 20, raised in the Midwest, currently grinding through a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Genetics. The short version: I like figuring out how things work — whether that's a protein folding problem or a 1980s carburetor.
The longer version: I grew up watching my dad fix cars in the garage, which is probably why I ended up in engineering. The genetics part came later — took a 100-level bio class on a whim and got stuck on the molecular side of things. Now I work in a lab studying DNA repair pathways.
Outside of school I drive too much, photograph too much, and take care of three rescue cats who would honestly prefer I stayed home more often. I'm not great at being still, but I'm working on it.
